Although my favourite team is RCB, I’d go with CSK.

Let’s have a quick look at them.

CSK : 3 times champion. This is best team in IPL in terms of consistentcy as they’ve always qualified for the playoffs. The skipper is same since 2008 & the management has valued his calls. Now this team was termed as the team of old peoples and all post 2018 IPL auction but they stunned everyone with the performance. This year they didn’t had enough money to purchase some star players but they don’t even need to as the entire roster is full of decent players.

As we all know this guy doesn’t need any description. Even his haters wish him to be in their favourite team.

Suresh Raina : One of the topmost performers in the history of IPL as well as for CSK. You can consider him as the backbone of this batting line up. He’s that kind of player who can boost the scoreboard & change the phase of game within a span of few overs. He’s the highest run getter in history of IPL *“Chinna Thala”*

Dwayne Bravo : He didn’t had best of his IPL while playing for Mumbai Indians & Gujarat Lions but he has been proven as a matchwinner under MSD. His variations are really difficult to pick up which results him big wickets & also finishes the game at times. Best example can be the first game of IPL 2018 where he turned out to be a crucial man smashing top bowlers out of the park.

Kedar Jadhav : He missed most of the IPL because of his injuries and that can be a concern for CSK for 2019 too. But apart from that we all know what Kedar can do. He can keep but under MSD I don’t think he’ll have to do that. He can spin the match around with his golden arm while bowling & is a clean hitter of ball.

Ambati Rayudu : 2018 was an unforgettable season for Rayudu as he turned out to be a surprise package. No one expected that he’ll score & win matches in significant numbers. For MI he was good too but wasn’t as consistent as 2018. He’ll be a player to watch out for.

David Willey : He’s another underrated player who warmed bench for major part of IPL because of the strong roster. David Willey can be a beast with the new ball & can also strike some big ones. In case of any injuries or failure they’ve an instant backup for an allrounder.

Deepak Chahar : Not only with CSK but for RPS too he was performing well initially under MSD. In the entire season of 2018 he was scalping big wickets within the power play with his swing. MS made full use of his movement in the power play by finishing his spell before 14–15 overs in which 3 of them came during the power play. Furthermore he can also bat so it increases the batting depth.

Apart from them CSK have :

Mitchell Santner

Shane Watson

Ravindra Jadeja

Sam Billings

FAF Du Plessis

Harbhajan Singh

Mohit Sharma

Shardul Thakur

N Jagadeeshan

K Asif

Karn Sharma

Lungi Ngidi

And few more.

The best thing about this team is that they’ve never chopped and changed too much. They hardly release players in mini auction and use their player according to their ability.

It’s about how well you utilize your resources and MS is master in that.

Won’t be surprised if they win 2019 IPL too. They’ll be a side to watch out for.

My other picks in order would be SRH, MI, DC & KKR.

Thank you for reading 🙂
