  1. I believe many answers below are correct. Just to add, there are are certain fighters who are revered and some who are not.

    Bhagat Singh passes the test, and is generally praised.

    Gandhi is a mixed bag. While his opposition to Jinnah and the Pakistan Movement makes him an immediate opposition, many of his decisions are praised, particularly towards the last few years of his life.

    Nehru is seen as the arch enemy, never considerate of the Muslim point of view, self-glorifying, and with a myopic view that saw his position as the only true one. This is not far from the truth, Nehru did have a streak of vanity, and a sense of history that made him keep political expediency superior to national interests.

    Azad is a traitor to Pakistan and Muslims for opposing it.

    However do realise that, Pakistanis have come a long way since 1947. The Partition narrative is interwoven with our identity, no doubt, yet the old guard is passing, and the younger generation have new villains and new heroes.
