  1. “Ramadhaan hi kehna chahiye, hamara dhameer(zameer) gavaara nahi karta ke hum ramadhaan na kaheiN, khuda ne baRi fadheelat (fazeelat)rakhi hai isme, aur bohat faidh(faiz)pohanchta hai logoN ko, mareedh(mareez) bhi sehtmand ho jaate haiN, har maradh(maraz) ki dawa hai ye, charaghoN me jaise dhiyaa(ziya) chamakti hai waise hi iski raateiN chamakti haiN. Sab namazi masjidoN me haadhir(hazir) hote haiN aur wudhu (wazu)karte haiN.
KyuN hudhoor!! Sahi keh raha huN na main. ”

This is what it sounds like if you try to speak Urdu the Arabic way.

If someone is speaking Arabic then definitely it should be pronounced as “Ramadhan” but if that’s not the case then please remember that in Urdu ض is pronounced as z.

And when a word is adopted in another language then the pronunciation of the adoptive language should apply. Otherwise, start saying “al jabr” in English instead of algebra because it was pronounced so in Arabic or say Jamal instead of a camel because camel came from Arabic word Jamal.
