Using other fission equation with MeV/fission and weight it can be calculated that 1kg perfect fission yield from U-235 is 17 kt/kg.

In the bomb was on 84,5% U235 which meant 61.5 kg critical mass. Just for sure used 64 kg.

The later estimated yield was 16 kt.

16kt / (64* 17 kt/kg) = 1.5%.

64*0,015 = 960 g

That was the mass which participated in fission.
