  1. As a matter of record, officers don’t “get” land. Based on the grade of service/rank, they get the option to purchase land for personal use. They have to apply for the plots for housing and then pay for them at subsidized rates in areas that have been allocated to the military by the government. There is no concept of allocating farmland to individual military officers.

    Secondly, the offer of land allocation for building houses is not limited to just the military. Depending on the grade, the same is applicable to government officials from other departments of the government.
