Turing was found dead in his room by his housekeeper on 8 June ,1954 laying alongside a half eaten apple(Yeah ,the fruit to have most history associated with it).He had died a day earlier due to cyanide poisoning .Turing was suffering from critical depression due to the medication inflicted on to him by the court .

Turing was having an affair with a 19 year old unemployed man ,Arnold Murray. He had invited Murray to his house on Christmas, after a month Turing ‘s house was burgled by an acquaintance of Murray .Turing lodged a complaint regarding the burglary ,however the investigation revealed all about the affair between Turing and Murray. The condition of homosexuals was pathetic in England during that time ,it was a punishable offence and Turing was offered a choice between chemical castration and a jail term, out of which the former was chosen by him.

The medication had a very drastic impact on his mental condition shifting him to enormous depression ,which had caused him to end his life
