    Don’t be an asshole.

Drive about 5–10 over the speed limit.

    Use your turn signals.

Don’t yield when you have the right of way (unless of course you’re avoiding an accident)

    Slow down in work zones.

Move over when someone’s on the shoulder of the highway, even if it’s not a cop.

The left lane is for passing.

Anticipate the sun in your eyes so you don’t have to slam on your brakes when you suddenly can’t see.

    Clean your windshield.

Make sure your vehicle is in safe condition.

Avoid passing on the right; chances are that trucker is trying to get over and all you assholes won’t give him a chance.

Don’t slam your brakes before you even get onto your exit ramp.

Don’t stop too far forward into an intersection.

    Don’t text and drive.

    Don’t drink and drive.

    Don’t drive when you’re exhausted.

    Avoid road rage.

    Yield at crosswalks.

That’s it for now, maybe I’ll add more later.

Seriously though, just don’t be an asshole.

Edit: turn your headlights on when you use your wipers!

    From Johnathon Johnson:

One more: merge into traffic at the same speed as the other traffic.

If the traffic on the freeway is going 75, you should be going 75 by the time you reach the end of the ramp. Don’t merge at 50 then gradually increase your speed; everyone else on the road will hate you.

When merging, it is your responsibility to adjust to other traffic. It is not their responsibility to adjust to you.
