How can Pakistan overcome the current economic crisis? Can you suggest the steps that PTI should take urgently?
I knew right from the start that Imran Khan’s party was going to win the elections of 2018. My biggest worry was that PTI may not get majority and when i saw 116 seats on tv my first reaction was crap this will be a useless government no matter what Imran Khan tries to do.
This government is functioning exactly how I thought it would be with all the wrong people in ministerial posts. Imran Khan had a vision so when you see 40+ federal ministers then you know something is wrong. Thats like 1/3 of winning candidates and more people are asking for ministership.
I have no suggestions for Imran Khan other than go for referendum and shift the system to Presidential using the support of People of Pakistan. Nothing can stop him after he gets a win in referendum. If Scotland can stay in UK and if UK can leave Europe on the basis of referendum then there is nothing wrong with doing this in Pakistan. We have seen Turkish model and how President Erdogan shaped the country.
If Imran Khan is not willing to do that then dissolve the assembly by requesting the president and go for re-election. According to inside rumours and assessments Imran Khan is mentally prepared to break assemblies. So don’t be shocked if that happens. Only thing that is stopping this action is IMF package and the investment that came in last 6 months. It will be most likely after the budget.
