According to The Armies of the World 2015 edition, Singapore has 80,000 active and 500,000 reserve soldiers to call upon, while Malaysia has 100,000 active and 250,000 reserve troops. Singapore outnumbers Malaysia over 1.5 to 1.

Singapore has 270 aircraft vs 220 Malaysia, with Malaysian having no combat helicopters and a third of the combat planes (the rest are training, transport and utility).

Singapore has 200 tanks to Malaysia’s 75, not to mention 2200 AFVs (Armored Fighting Vehicles) to Malaysia’s 1100.

The only thing Malaysia has that outnumber;s Singapore’s is her navy, with 60 vs 41, but even then she has fewer combat ships sch as cruisers, with over half of her fleet being patrol craft.

Also, Singapore has many immigrants. This may be a source of frustration for natives, but is an excellent insurance policy. Any offensive would mean endangering countless foreign citizens. Bomb a HDB? You may have killed off a few Singaporeans but what about the China Chinese and India Indians? How do you think China and India will react when they hear about these deaths? India actually lowered her flags during Lee Kuan Yew’s passing last year, due to their respect for what he did for their country and their natives. Not to mention the countless European and American industries and banks based in Singapore.

Not to mention, Singapore a defense treaty in which Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia herself has promised mutual aid, greatly deterring any war.
