The shalwar came from pashtoon culture the kameez came from punjabisariki culture so quid-e-azam said lets make a dress that represent merger and union of two cultures and he asked fatimah jinnah his sister to wear one too and so it came into existence and was made national dress of Pakistan as it was modest and was symbol of unity between provinces.
