The US would crush the Russians with relative ease. Let me show you an example of just how fucking easy this would be for the US.

Day 1: Putin declares war on The US and mobilizes the Russian military for war. The plans are drawn up to invade Alaska as well as other Island territories like Hawaii, Guam and American Samoa before moving on to the Mainland.

Day ?: The Invasion begins, Russian ships are immediately clapped by the US navy, with most ships forced to retreat. However, some forces manage to ge to Alaska, and begin a campaign to occupy the state.

Day?-Day?: US Army forces, for the time being predominately consisting of the National Guard and a few gun-toting militia forces move to defend the state from Russian takeover, militiamen use hit and run guerrilla tactics on the Russians while the national guard aids them in battle.

Day ??: the army arrives to reinforce them with relative ease. Allied NATO troops (for the moment predominately coming from neighboring Canada) also arrive to help in combat. Canadian-American forces hold off the comparatively more poorly-trained/equipped Russians. (The fighting is still practically confined to the state of Alaska.)

Day ???: The rest of NATO declares war. Russia is forced into a 2 front war, The US Navy practically leaves the Russians stranded in Alaska due to their naval and aerial superiority. the Russian people are pissed.

Day ????: Russian military personnel in Alaska, with no other option, surrender en masse to the Americans as the Russians really can’t evacuate them. American marines invade and quickly capture the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, they capture the rest of the Krai of Kamchatka, albeit guerrilla warfare greatly slows their advance. The Europeans counter-attack the slowly advancing Russians, and invade Russia. The Kaliningrad Oblast is quickly occupied.

Day E: Russia amidst unrest and military blunder after blunder surrenders to NATO leading to the humiliating Treaty of Shanghai (China chooses to mediate the situation).

Russia demilitarizes it’s military
Japan annexes the Kuril Islands
Poland and/or Lithuania annex Kaliningrad
Russia pays war reperations
Russia surrenders all other disputed territory.
Putin must abdicate from power.

This is ignoring nukes but I think we all know how it would go with nukes so i thought I’d make it more fun.
