They have had limited success in laboratory tests and are hopeful that they will find a usable combination and dosage. It’s certainly worth trying as a means of suppressing the virus ( Covid-19) in the sicker patients, but will not prevent a recurrence or kill the virus outright. They may suppress it to the point that the body’s immune system can kill it. The biggest problem is side effects and safety, assuming they can find an effective mix and dose.
