According to Sputnik news, more than 300,000 people have signed two petitions saying, “Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan deserves Noble Peace Prize.”

A resolution has also been submitted in Pakistani parliament to endorse Prime Minister Imran Khan for prestigious Noble Peace Prize due to his efforts to de-escalate recent tensions between India and Pakistan.

According to the said petitions and resolution, despite of jingoistic and warmongering behaviour from opposite side, Imran Khan played sagacious role in de-escalating the recent hostility between two nations.

Now, let’s go back to the question, “Does Imran Khan deserves the prestigious Noble Peace Prize?”

According to Wikipedia,

The Norwegian Nobel committee each year awards the Nobel Peace Prize to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for the fraternity between two Nations, for the abolition and reduction in the standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.

At the stage, where two nuclear nations are at brink of war; at the stage, where jingoism and warmongering has broken all their previous records, Imran Khan, as a sapient person, stood for peace.

Anyone can talk about peace, when there is peace but if someone is waving the White Flag in such a situation, he surely deserves admiration and appreciation. Imran Khan, being that, surely deserves that.

P.S: From the time, Prime Minister of Pakistan announced for the release of Wing Commander Abhinandan, I am feeling proud to be part of a nation whose Prime Minister is Imran Khan.

Of course he is deserved to be awarded him a Noble peace prize. Because of such a great task.

More than 300,000 people have signed online petitions calling for Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to receive a Nobel Peace Prize after he freed an Indian pilot in a bid to defuse tensions with India.

The capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman had become the focus of renewed hostilities between the nuclear-armed rivals which have alarmed the international community.

They have gained more than 240,000 and 60,000 digital signatures respectively.

Pakistan´s information minister Fawad Chaudhry Saturday also submitted a resolution in the country´s parliament demanding Khan be given the award for his contribution to peace in the region.

Imran Khan played a sagacious role in de-escalating tension between Pakistan and India,” the resolution said.

In his speech announcing Abhinandan´s release, Khan referred to the catastrophic consequences of nuclear war as he called for talks with New Delhi.

Thousands of people around the world are allowed to make nominations for the Peace Prize, including members of parliament and government ministers, former laureates and some university professors.
