I don’t think that you can blame technology for the belief that people are becoming “worse”. It’s how people DEAL with technology that determines that. And as someone else who has responded to this question has stated that only a certain percentage of people have used the internet to become more knowledgeable, while masses have become more “retarded” and immature.

Certain, I myself, have longed for the days when it cost $2.95 hr to be online because we didn’t have to deal with every moron who could find a 6 yr old to show them where the “on” button is on their computer. But has that technology “changed” people? No, I don’t think so. I think that rather, “technology” has become so “simple” that we have a harder time escaping those who believe their most intelligent opening comment is “what color panties are you wearing?” So, NO, I don’t think that technology is changing people at all, it’s simply allowing stupid people, who have always existed, greater access to a wider audience.
