What do tourists think of Malaysia?

Over the past 50 years, I have traveled to every one of the Malaysian states by various modes of transportation. Based on my own experience and feedback from overseas visitors, these are the highlights:

Outstanding gastronomic experience. Malaysian cuisines span multiple cultures, namely, Malay, nyonya, Chinese and Indian. Brilliant use of spices like curry makes for memorable feasting. There’s also a wide variety of delectable snacks and desserts.
Accessibility. Most places are connected by good roads and choice of cheap transport.
Ecotourism and snorkeling. The millions year old rainforests support an off the beaten track vacation. Around Malaysia are some of the world’s best islands and coralreefs for diving enthusiasts. Mulu caves in East Malaysia are amongst the largest cavern system in the world. On a dry day you will be awed by the flight of thousands of bats covering the evening sky. Palau Langkawi, Pulau Tioman, and Pulau Pangkor offer enchanting beaches.
Cultures. In addition to the food culture, the ethnic diversity provides a heady mix of history and cultural experience. Melaka is a UNESCO world heritage city for its 500+ years of colonial heritage. Penang is another world heritage city with a unique blend of British and Chinese architectures.
People. Besides the Malay language, English, Chinese dialects are widely in use.
Theme parks and night life. International theme parks include Legoland, 20th century fox movie theme park soon to be open at Genting highlands, Hello kitty, etc. Nightlife is quite vibrant in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
