My relationship with my Aunt died when my mom died.

She blamed me and my brother on our mom’s death (to be fair our mom was her twin sister). My mom died of leukemia. Towards the end of her life she had a fever of 108° F for hours before they were able to bring the fever down with a water blanket. While my mom was laying in a hospital bed fighting for her life, and losing , my Aunt (her twin sister) took me aside and told me every single thing that I had done in my life wrong. Told me that I was a bad daughter, and a bad person. Me, and my brother were by her (our mom) side when she passed away (flat lined the machine)

All these years later (my mom has been gone for 20 years now) and my mom’s twin sister, still blames me and my brother and will tell anyone who will listen to her that I’m a horrible person and a horrible daughter. My mother in law was renting an apartment in the same building that my cousin (i didn’t know this at the time) was also renting an apartment/room. He bought the place and was then my mom in law’s landlord. When he found out that she is my mom in law he evicted her from her apartment.

Karma steps in and he loses his job as well as the other people renting a space there in the building. he will also tell anyone who will listen to him that I’m a horrible person. They both claim to be Christians.

That is what ended my relationship with my mom’s twin sister.

My mom’s mother also told my brother to never call her grandma and to never call her home again. karma: she’s now dead.

I don’t know how my other Aunt feels about the situation or me, but I haven’t spoken to her in 20 years.
