Warning. Gore, violence, strong language and nudity ahead.

you were warned

I have a few I could name . But I’m gonna give you Crossed

Got this pic from Google because my physical copy looks like it was most likely pirated.

Crossed is a zombie-like survival horror story where the ”zombies” are called “Crossed” due to a crossed shaped or plus sign shaped scar that appears on their face.

In actuality though, it isn’t a zombie infestation as you’d expect. No. Because that’s too cliché. It’s actually a pandemic that causes the infected person(s) to act on and act out their most vile, evil, disgusting and depraved thoughts.

And you’d expect, the series is heavy with violence, gore, strong language and various other adult content. Including even sex, rape and necrophilia (among other things). Truthfully it’s a hard read because the entire thing is just one massive gore fest after the other with sex/rape in between to fill out the remainder of the pages.

In this scene, he attempted to use his ex’s lips as a masturbatory toy along with her degloved breast.

Now following the usual zombie troupes, the virus is spread and delivered via bodily fluids (blood, sweat, saliva and reproductive fluids) which you’ll see some of everything. I’m fairly certain that it’s because of the bodily fluids notion, that the series has such a strong emphasis on sex and rape. Sometimes it seems like the series just has massive amounts of gore and depravity just to fill in pages in an attempt to appeal to its crowd.

So again, it’s a hard read. Mostly because it’s just too vile to read and follow. It honestly just dives into the gore and and never stops. And I only ever picked it up because a co-worker recommended it. But frankly, I didn’t like the gratuitous amount of excessive violence. It’s just ridiculous and mind numbing. I didn’t even get beyond the first issue. Maybe you will, I dunno.

There ya go.

Anyways, I may end up just tossing the damn thing in the trash actually. I don’t need my kids finding this.
