Diet might vary from person to person depending upon the biochemical parameters and in case person has any additional medical condition along with tuberculosis (TB). But overall, person should avoid the following foods in the diet-

Carbonated beverages
Avoid alcohol consumption
Avoid junk foods, processed and ready to eat foods
Substance abuse like tobacco
Excess consumption of tea and coffee
Avoid spicy foods and excess salt consumption
Following foods can be included in the diet –

Low fat milk and milk products
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Eggs and seafood
Whole pulses and lentils
Whole grain cereals and millets
Have energy dense foods like banana, cereal porridge or kheer, sooji halwa, peanut chikki, rava laddoo, wheat and ragi sprouted porridge or drink, khichdi, etc.
Dry fruits and nuts can be included in shakes and porridges to prevent muscle loss and enhance tissue repair.
Have vitamin A and vitamin C rich foods like orange, mango, papaya, sweet pumpkin, carrots, guava, amla, orange, tomato, mausami, lemon, capsicum and sweet potato.
Have selenium and zinc rich foods like Brazil nuts, seafood, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame, flax seeds and mushrooms.
