The creepiest thing that I experienced as a nurse would have to be when I was working in a nursing home. It was one of the female patients birthday. After morning meds I spent time getting her all spruced up, because her family was coming to visit. She was a widow who had 12 children to raise. Really a very nice, down to earth lady.

Her family were going to come as a group at 1:00, bringing cake and ice cream for their mother and the rest of the patients and staff. At precisely 1:00 all her children and grandchildren children came. She was so proud, as she introduced each one to the other patients. Then they shared cake and ice cream. The unit was definitely a happy unit. At 3:00 pm. ( her usual nap time) she said she was tired now and wanted to go to bed. She kissed and hugged each of her children and grandchildren goodby. She then told her family its time to go and be with their father, closed her eyes AND DIED.

Her daughter came to the nurses station and said her Mom is dead. Sure enough she had passed. The family was so happy that they all could be with her during her final moments and how peaceful and happy she was that day.

I am sure she is in heaven with her husband, a very happy woman.
