16 the Aug. 1946.

The partition of India was was not clearly visible until this day. British were not favouring it.

Muslim League thought about it. Jinnah called for general strikes and to observe Direct action day on that day.

The CM of Bengal Suhravardy swung into action. He unleashed Muslim terrorists with long knives to kill Hindus in Calcutta on roads and sat in the police control room to prevent police to reach the rioting areas.

Close to 6000 killed and 1 lakh fled.

This Satanic ‘power’ of Muslim League convinced British that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together. Eventually it lead to the partition.

If I had to go back in time I would have sat in the police control room and gave directions to police to control riots. And threw Suhravardy into prison.
