What would Pakistan achieve by making Kashmir independent?

The war of 1965 was about kashmir , so India did not start the feud first by helping bangaldesh in 1971.The scenario of trade route with China also came a lot later.

The real intention was control over River basins of Chenab and Jhelum. Pakistan’s economy depended a lot on agriculture and they were always worried that India will take away its water by redirecting them inside India.

The reason why Pakistan succeeded in its plans initially was due to the bad management of this issue by Indian authorities when it first started(just like they did in Punjab), they wanted to crush it rather than resolving by diplomacy .Why would Indian Hindu government believe the muslim Kashmiris that they are with India and not pakistan , so India thought of them as traitors from day one and that feeling soon reached the masses of kashmir and they started supporting freedom movement. Nowdays Indian government plays innocent on media like giving favors to kashmiris but they are equally responsible for this whole mess.

Pakistan will never succeeded in its plans but they will keep on going as they get free funds from USA on name of fighting terror, and now days its their major source of income ,which is keeping the country’s economy from crashing.
