Before answering – it’s “coronavirus”.

I pressume you are talking about the outbreak in China.

The virus found in China is actually a new virus identified under family “coronaviridae” so calling it “Coronavirus” is not justified.

The virus has not been named yet and is called “2019-nCov” or Wuhan virus as it was 1st detected in Wuhan.

The origin of this virus is unknown yet, at first a video circulated showing a woman eating a cooked bat and was termed to be one of the 1st victim concluding that it was transmitted from bats but it turned out to be fake as the video was from Palau and was years old.

After that it was assumed that it might have spread from sea foods bought from wet markets in Wuhan were live and dead meat are sold together in unhygienic conditions

But this too was inconclusive as the first 13 cases had no connection to this. So trace of origin is yet to be made.

As for India, this is a high risk situation as the virus spreads widely through oral and fecal mater and spitting and open defecation is still a thing here.

But the government is quite vigilant, they are detaining every person returning from China and now south Asian countries. But yes it is still possible so just be vigilant.
