  1. The CIA does not refer to any of its personnel as “agents.” Only ignorant outsiders use that term.

    CIA officers get a lot of training throughout their careers. General tradecraft, foreign language training, foreign area orientation, and many other specialized subjects depending on assignment.

    Much of the training takes place at CIA Hqs or at the foreign sites where the officers are stationed. The CIA does have some special training sites in the US outside its main Hqs, but their locations, while open secrets, are formally classified.
