Which is the richest league?
IPL is regarded as the richest T20 league in the world. BCCI will pay $6.2 million to the champions of the league in 2018 IPL while the PSL champions will receive just $ 1 million. It clearly showed that IPL is brimmed with millions of dollars while PSL lacks the money power.
Meanwhile, IPL franchises like Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have a fat wallet, as a result; they have the calibre to give a fight to the some EPL teams. This year KKR have spent INR 351 crore on building their team, highest in IPL 2018. But, even after playing in oil-rich Arabian Peninsula PSL sides failed to attack big brands, as a result, they don’t have a fat wallet like IPL franchises.
This is an area where IPL has defeated PSI by a huge margin. While the average attendance in IPL is around 31,700 per game PSL is way behind with 20,000 average attendance. One of the main reasons behind PSL’s low average attendance is the league is being played away from home because of security reason. In PSL 2018 Dubai International Stadium sported a deserted look at the initial stage of the league.
Yes, PSL is more popular than IPL.
Do you know why?
During PSL 2018 (22 February – 25 March 2018) –
India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh were playing Nidahas trophy.
Australia was playing with South Africa.
England was playing with New Zealand.
Afghanistan, Ireland, Scotland, UAE, West Indies & Zimbabwe were playing Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
During IPL 2018 –
There is not a single bilateral series being played.

For sure IPL is the one who is leading in all aspects including Star Power, Money Talks, Glamour, Crowd Gathering.
Let me put my opinion here and you people can decide.
IPL is running the show since 10 years and gathering the best players across the world spending heavy on them, marketing their franchises resulting full packed stadium in almost each game.
PSL on the other hand is just a 3 year old baby who decided to compete in this vicious world of Money, Glamour against his family of BBL, IPL and surprisingly people accept him more than some of his family member (BBL) and from the very first year it started to shine and blossom which keep on increasing by every year passes.
This is my observation that IPL is only about money whose motive is to earn more money. Big players take part in this league only because they are paid heavily by franchises. BBL on the other hand is there to target youth and new audience (Children & Women) in order to make them fall in love with the game (Cricket), Money is the secondary thing in BBL. PSL is more about bringing cricket back home which is the most purest purpose among all and nothing about money.
For now IPL is leading the way but started only 3 years ago PSL made a great prosperous for himself by beating BBL,CPL,BPL and all other leagues. I really want to see how much PSL can go? Can it go to 10 years mark as well? Can it blossom the same way like its now or it only last 4 or 5 seasons?
These all questions will be answered in coming few years but for now just lay back and enjoy the game of cricket whether its PSL, IPL, BBL or any other league.
