The final Hindu monarch of Sindh was Maharaja Dahar Sen, who reigned from 685 until 712 C.E., when, at age 49, he died in the battle of Raor on the Sindhu River, trying and failing to hold back the Umayyad conquerors who overran Sindh and annexed it into the Caliphate. That could be said to be when the Muslim conquests first entered India. He had three daughters (Surya Devi, Premala Devi, and Jodha Devi), but none succeeded him since their dynasty was overthrown.
