Donald Trump’s feud with the professional sports community at large is a perfect excample of the ignorance of Donald Trump and the real world.

Donald Trump’s insistence that we be respectfull of, and honor him, just because he is the current office holder of the Oval Office. His insistence that anyone protesting should be punished for the excercise of the 1st Ammendment right of freedom of expression and the right to protest is astonishing.
He is availing himself his 1st ammendment right to express himself as he sees fit, while nobody else has that right ?? And he is using 3rd or 4th grade inappropriate language while doing it ? on national TV ? Who does he think he is. Emperor Donald, or our Führer. He wants to punish all those that in his view have disrespected the national anthem or the national colors or in someway managed to raise his ire about something that he sees as unpatriotic.
He want’s to change / delete the first amendment or to delete pretty much all of it’s provisions.

He is himself unequipped to be an honorable man. He forgets that honor is a two way arrangement. He forgets that respect has to be earned, not demanded, for no other reason than occupation of a given position. EARNED respect is something you have to achieve through your own efforts, not to be taken for granted !. Behaving like a schoolyard bully does NOT earn you respect, it generates fear and loathing.
And i do not think that he will ever understand the difference.
Somewhat analogous to that saying ‘that you can not teach an old dog new tricks. ‘ while he thinks of himself to smart to have to learn.
